A million? Feels like it sometimes. 

 

With three children in the space of about four years - I'm weary. Bone tired, exhausted and wrecked. 

 

Now you can have fun calculating exactly how many hours you have NOT spent in bed. You can pinpoint all the minutes you could have been tucked up under the sheets, but weren't. 

 

It may sound like an exercise in torture, but often the madness of motherhood brings some amusement and in this case I couldn't NOT do it. 

 

For the record, I have lost over 9 thousand hours of sleep (14 months worth) I have changed 17k nappies and sang 12 THOUSAND lullabies. 

 

To use, simply plug in the month and year of your child’s age and hit "calculate."

 

Seconds later, the app will calculate your best lost sleep. What's more, it also guesstimates how many nappies you’ve changed and the number of bedtime stories you’ve read to your child.

 

Those with multiple children can add them to the equation.  The calculator was the brainchild of blind, curtain, shutter and carpet company, Hillarys. It also includes BRILLIANT add-on statistics such as how many people have accidentally poured breast milk into their coffee, or mistakenly cradled the house cat thinking it was a baby. Guilty.
