A father from Connecticut, US, accidentally delivered his newborn baby into a toilet bowl.
The baby’s father, David Davis, said he was forced to deliver the baby in his bathroom last Friday, when his wife Lillie, went into labour.
However when his baby daughter did arrive, she unfortunately slipped through her father's hands, but luckily went into the water of their toilet bowl.
A local reporter recalled the incident: “He says the baby slipped through his hands during the delivery, but luckily went into the water. He says she began crying and it was the best sound he’d ever heard. Davis says the couple had gone to a hospital earlier in the morning, but had been sent home after it was determined his wife was not ready to give birth.”
Both parents had been to the hospital earlier that day as Lillie began to feel labour pains, but doctors said she wasn’t ready to give birth yet. However a few hours later, Lillie had given birth to Livia, who weighed in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces.
