Though they may be small, babies are a lot of work, especially in the early days.

In fact, for the first few months of welcoming your newest addition, you'll find yourself working according to their cycle.

Sleep, feed, change. Sleep, feed, change. Sleep, feed, change.

And you'll struggle to fit in time to do anything else really.

However, to give you a bit of a helping hand, we've compiled a list of seven hacks/ tips that will make your life with a newborn a lot easier.

Not easy. Just easier. (We can't perform miracles here at MummyPages!)

1. Cover the latch on your door with tape so you can open and close it without making any noise

Ideal for when you put Baby down for a nap during the day.

2. Pop your dressing gown on over your clothes whenever you're in the house

This way you'll avoid any last minute changes due to your baby's spit-up or nappy explosion.

3. Store all essentials in a box under your baby’s bed

Nappies, wipes, vests, cream. This will save you both space and time, especially if you have limited amount of storage around your home.

4. Mix water with baking soda to clean up any stains

And when you've got a baby, there will be a lot of stains to contend with.

5. Wash baby socks in a mesh laundry bag so they don’t get lost

Those teeny, tiny socks need to be protected!

6. Pull their onesie DOWN by opening up the collar instead of pulling it up over their head

This will definitely come in handy when your little one's nappy has exploded and there's poo riding up their back.

7. Fill three or four small boxes with nappies, wipes and cream and leave them around the house

This way, you’ll always have them to hand no matter what room in the house you are - remember, every little helps.
