The Crown season 3 might still be a while away but we are getting seriously excited.

We've been getting titbits about casting as production ahs kicked off and the latest piece of news is a great one for any Call the Midwife fans.

Emerald Fennell, who plays feisty Nurse Patsy Mount in the loved period drama, has been announced as Camilla Parker Bowles for the royal dramas next season.

And we think she is the perfect fit.

The Crown's season 3 will show a young Prince Charles meeting Camilla Parker Bowles for the first time as this season focuses on the beginning of their romance.

While Netflix has yet to officially confirm who has been cast as Camilla but the images that have been leaked confirm that Emerald has indeed stepped into the future royals shoes.

She will be starring opposite Josh O'Connor, who is best known for playing Larry in The Durrells.

The 33-year-old can be seen in costume as Camilla in a scene being reimagined from a  polo match in 1975 where Charles and Camilla were reportedly just friends after their relationship came to an abrupt end because Charles joined the Royal Navy in early 1973.

The new season will see Olivia Colman taking over from Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth; Helena Bonham Carter taking on Princess Margaret and Tobias Menzies  stepping into the shoes of Prince Philip, previously played by the fantastic Matt Smith.

Hurry up Netflix, we can't wait to see it all come together.
