There’s a reason why we refer to stretch marks as ‘tiger stripes’ – we have to be fierce to give birth and get through the labour process, and that can really take its toll on our bodies.

If there’s one person who can attest to this, it’s Sophie Cachia, a mother who blogs at The Young Mummy.

Mothers all over the world are cracking up over her latest post, about the struggles of a postpartum pelvic floor.

Sophie took to her blog page to share a picture-perfect photo of herself, her husband and their toddler – but the accompanying caption is not exactly what you would expect!

In it, she recalled for her followers how her devoted husband had to ‘come out to the front to her rescue with two towels, because she totally p***ed her pants in her car’.

The majority of us have been ‘caught out’ at some point, but the reason for Sophia’s latest accident is something that mums all over the world can really relate to: her pelvic floor is a little weaker these days on account of giving birth.

“A full bottle of water, a four-month-postpartum pelvic floor, and a freeway standstill with traffic is NEVER  good combo,” she wrote, qualifying that it wasn’t ‘just a dribble’, either!

“It appears when you’re so desperately holding on and you finally crack, the floodgates open and they cannot be shut. I truly never thought this would happen to me. But hey, there’s a first for everything…right?” she added.

Eh, hell YES, Sophie! And we’re not the only ones who can relate to Sophie’s tale, either – mums from all over the world have been taking to the comment section, to share their own stories.

“My pelvic floor has never been the same after three kids. Wish someone warned me before kids! You’re a breath of fresh air. I just love your honesty,” wrote one follower.

Another mum chimed in: “Reminds me of after my first. About one week postpartum, I decided I was losing my baby weight and getting fit again…I tried skipping…Haha! Pee all down my legs.”

The mums-to-be have been able to relate too, with one woman revealing: “Something to look forward to! I’ve definitely had a few mini leaks. Lol. I’m sure after number two I’ll have the floodgates with how bad I am.”

We’re loving Sophie’s honesty – more of this, please!
