There's nothing better than cooling off in the tub during the sticky summer months - and clearly, this furry little beaver couldn't agree more!

This little guy was rescued from a golf course in Calgary, Canada last month, having been found alone, well away from the water with a tail injury.

Staff at the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation (AIWC) believe he was picked up by a predator and dumped on the course, left to fend for himself.

Luckily, the little dude is recovering well and will stay under the conservation’s care until he’s old enough to be released into the wild.

“It’s not normal at this age for beaver kits to be separated from their parents. They’re very bonded,” AIWC staff member Holly Duvall told CBC. “But he’s doing very well for himself.”

So it seems. Uploaded by the conversation, this video captures just how happy he is now.

According to Holly, he’s a “typical baby beaver”, loving his time in the pool and treating himself to a bit of a grooming session afterwards.

“That’s a great sign,” she said. “It’s fantastic that we’re seeing that with him.”
