We rarely get to see them on the red carpet together these days, which is why fans of the adorable Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are thanking their stars for social media this weekend.
Rita, who has been married to Big star Tom for 28 years, took to Twitter yesterday to share a rare insight into the couple’s relationship.
The 59-year-old posted a shot of the pair swimming together in the ocean, the caption simply reading: “Love”.

As you can imagine, social media went wild for the photo, with many gushing over the ‘soulmates’ in the comment section.
Tom and Rita, who starred together in Sleepless in Seattle, have two children together: sons Chester and Truman.
Tom, meanwhile, is also father to Colin and Elizabeth; his children from his first marriage, to Samantha Lewes.
Rita’s loved-up post comes just a year after she went public with her secret battle with breast cancer.
The singer and actress revealed to People magazine that she had undergone a double mastectomy following the diagnosis.
In a statement, she urged other women to get a second opinion if they are concerned, and credited her 'full recovery' with early detection.
If Tom and Rita aren’t couple goals, we don’t know who is.
