There was double the excitement for the star as she took to her social media channels to announce her wonderful news, at the same time that the finale of her show, Grimm, aired.
The 35-year-old, who announced the news of her pregnancy back in January, revealed on her Instagram account that she and husband Chris Thile have welcomed a baby boy.
Posting a stunning photo of herself resting with her beautiful son, Claire wrote: “Grimm season finale! Chris Thile and I had a baby! I DON’T KNOW WHAT’S MORE INTENSE! JK [just kidding] it’s definitely childbirth, but watch tonight anyway!”
While Claire and Chris have yet to reveal their little one’s name, the actress previously admitted that they were having trouble deciding what to call their son.
“We’ve been having trouble finding names that we both like that are acceptable with the last name of Thile, because my husband doesn’t want it to be too cutesy,” she told People magazine.
