Sometimes, I feel myself rolling my eyes when my daughter begins to sob. When she cries big, fat, silent, tears with little-to-no reason for doing so, I almost tell her to 'stop being such a goose'. However, something stops me every time and I refrain from chastising her about her emotional personality: she is me.
Though we are very different in many ways, my five-year-old and I happen to have the same emotional threshold. She is 5 and I am 25, yet the 20 years mean nothing when the tears begin to fall…
