There are some people who believe that everything happens for a reason, and the Hadden family’s story certainly reinforces that adage.

Fireman Marc Hadden has warmed hearts around the world his week, with the story of how he adopted a baby girl he helped to bring into the world.

The story – which has only come to prominence this week – unfolded back in 2012, when Marc responded to a pregnant woman’s emergency call.

The woman had gone into labour, and she wasn’t going to make it to the hospital to give birth.

So, it was up to Marc and his crew to help bring baby girl Grace safely into the world.

This was to prove fateful for Marc and his wife, Beth, who already had two sons. The couple had desperately wanted to add to their brood for years, but had been told they would not be able to conceive again.

Hours after brining Grace into the world, the South Carolina couple found out that the tot had been put up for adoption.

There was only one option for the Haddens: they simply had to bring Grace into their family.

And so, two days later, Marc and Beth adopted Grace and brought her home to her big brothers, Will and Parker.

Almost five years on, the family ‘loves Grace to pieces’, naturally!

“I never envisioned actually having a daughter. We are truly blessed, that’s for sure,” proud dad Marc told WMBF News.
