Ladies and gentlemen, introducing, in the lefthand corner, The Notorious JNR.

Conor McGregor tweeted the latest pictures of his newborn baby, Conor Jack McGregor yesterday. Staying true to his no-holds style, the Irish MMA champion included the cheeky caption, "We can land the left paw from anywhere. Who wants it."

Conor Jr was born in the Coombe Maternity Hospital on Friday, May 6, weighing 8lb 14oz to McGregor and longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin.

Devlin thanked her fans for the many messages of support and well-wishes they received ahead of the birth. She took to Facebook yesterday to post a beautiful post-birth picture saying, "Welcome to this world my beautiful baby boy little Conor Jr. We will love you with all our heart! Mum and bub are healthy, thank you for all the beautiful messages. They mean a lot!"

McGregor is clearly prepping his newborn for fame. The two division UFC World Champion has a dedicated legion of fans and 12.7m Instagram followers.

The new arrival, who has his own Instagram account, set up by Dee and Conor, has racked up 52k followers. Pretty good numbers for a three-day-old!

The couple has been together for eight years. McGregor frequently praises long-term partner for supporting him throughout his career which had a rocky start.

Ahead of his July 2015 victory over Chad Mendez that saw him named interim UFC Featherweight Champion champion, McGregor opened up about the importance of having Devlin in his life - and his career. He told MMAFighting: "My girlfriend has been there since the start. She has helped me throughout this career. If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be where I am today."

The UFC superstar knows that his fame comes at a cost and previously expressed concern over his child's safety. He told GQ Magazine in February that he didn't want to be swarmed by fans or asked for photos while he was out and about with his baby.

Despite allegedly setting up Conor Jack's Instagram account, he said he wants to keep Conor Jr away from the spotlight: “I’m not trying to bring a kid into that. If someone comes near me when I have my kid in my hands, like the way they come near me now, looking for pictures, someone’s gonna be badly hurt.

“I don’t want to be bringing a child into anything like this. I don’t want any celebrity-type s***, I hate all that. I don’t want my family to be like that. So that’s a thing in the back of my head so I’m just going to have this baby, take a little bit of time and see what way I feel after that.”
