Just when you thought the dust was beginning to settle over the numerous celebrity split announcements in recent months, it has been revealed that controversial television host, Jeremy Kyle, has separated from his wife of 13 years.
The 49-year-old host and his second wife Carla Germaine, with whom he shares three children, have decided to part ways after trying the knot in 2002.
Jeremy, who has a 25-year-old daughter from his first marriage to Kirsty Rowley, first met the stunning Carla when she entered a competition called Two Strangers and a Wedding which was run by BRMB radio station
Jeremy, who was employed by the station at the time, was against the contest which saw two random members of the public tie the knot, and just three months after the dissolution of Carla's marriage to a groom chosen by the radio station, she and Jeremy began dating.
Crediting his wife, now 40-years-old, for supporting him during his battle with testicular cancer in 2012, Jeremy acknowledged her bravery and insisted the moment was a turning point in his life.
Recalling the incredibly difficult time, Jeremy said: "It's been a horrific time - a very sobering experience - but now I just feel lucky to be alive. I feel lucky that I'm here for family and can see my kids grow up."
Speaking to The Sun about his experience with the disease, Jeremy continued: "To be honest, I thought, "That's it, I'm dead". The phone call I made to Carla was one of the most difficult of my life."
Carla and Jeremy have three children named Henry, Alice and Ava.
