Fans were shocked when reality star Audrina Patridge filed for divorce from her husband Corey Bohan last week. Now, the mum-of-one has broken her silence on the news.
The former star of The Hills – who has also filed a temporary restraining order against Bohan – took to Instagram to address her fans and well-wishers.
Sharing a sweet video of her 15-month-old daughter Kirra dancing, the 32-year-old wrote: “Light of my life. This little beauty lights up the room wherever she is!
“I appreciate all your thoughts and messages. This is a difficult time, but we are doing OK."
She added: “Kirra loves this little dress. My grandma made it for my aunt 50+ years ago, and it’s still in perfect condition and cute as ever.”
It was entertainment site TMZ that first broke the story of Audrina’s split last Friday. The reality star’s rep went on to confirm the news to People.
“Audrina’s number one concern is for her daughter, and she asks for privacy at this time,” the rep said, in a short statement.
Audrina and Corey were together for nine years, and tied the knot 10 months ago, in a romantic ceremony in Hawaii.
They had welcomed little Kirra the previous June, with the tot tipping the scales at 8lbs 4oz.
“She’s perfectly healthy, and Mum is going great,” Audrina’s rep said at the time.
The reality star seems to have taken to motherhood like a duck to water, going on to gush about her little girl.
“I absolutely love being a mum – Kirra is my number one priority,” she said, in a candid interview with Fit Pregnancy and Baby magazine.
“If I’m being completely honest, the first month of no sleep, C-section recovery, unpacking and getting back into the swing of things was pretty gruelling.
“But, at the end of the day, all I had to do was take one look at Kirra and none of that mattered anymore.”
This is obviously a very difficult time for Audrina and her family, and we’re thinking of her.
