Us mums love nothing more than a good hack - something that makes life that little bit easier.

Like when someone shows you how to make extra space in the kitchen for tea-towels, or how to clean your sink without using a plunger, madness.

And don't get us started on food hacks - these guys are life savers because we just simply don't have time to be spending hours over the stove.

So when the Food Network showed us Bev Cooks' favourite peanut butter hack we were completely engrossed.

Well until we got to the end of it that was...

And like most people who took the time to watch the tutorial, we were left seriously confused.

Bev was setting out to show us how we can make peanut butter sandwiches without tearing our bread.

A simple little hack we were expecting so our children can turn up at school without looking like we took the bread out of the actual bin.

The tutorial involved spreading the peanut butter on grease-proof paper, rolling it, and then freezing it for you know, just a couple of HOURS.

Eventually when frozen, you take the peanut butter out of the freezer and chop it up into bread squares, for the perfect non bread torn sandwich.

And it was around that time people blew up and reacted in the best way they could - humour!

One user cried: "Torn bread!! What she applying it with, a shovel?? Never had torn bread from spreading peanut butter in my life."

While another added: "Because nothing is easier than spreading peanut butter on waxed paper, rolling it flat with a rolling pin, freezing it overnight, then cutting the frozen sheets of peanut butter into bread sized squares and using them to make your honey and peanut butter sandwiches."

"Child - 'Mama? Can I have a peanut butter sandwich please?' Mum - 'Sure honey, give me a few hours though. I have to FREEZE THE PEANUT BUTTER'," declared Heather.

Now, we're not sure about you, but we ain't waiting a couple of hours to eat a peanut butter sandwich, when you're hungry, you're hungry, so we guess torn bread it is!
