If we believed everything the celebs did we'd assume that our stomach would immediately bounce back into shape after having a baby, and we'd be truly glowing mere HOURS after leaving the hospital - Jools Oliver, we're looking at you.

Sadly, the reality of leaving the hospital with a newborn is NOTHING like what it is portrayed in the world of social media. Not even close.

If you have just brought Baba home, you are bound to be able to relate to the following seven REALITIES of bringing a baby home.

1. Rather than flowers and frozen meals adorning your table the dishes from the last meal you had before Baby arrived will be there.

2. You’ll be rocking those tracksuit bottoms with a curry stain down the left leg rather than those pretty floral dresses EVERYONE seems to post on social media. How anyone has the nerves to wear a dress after pushing a baby out is BEYOND us.

3. There won’t be a leaving party as you enter the world with your newborn – you’ll get a goodbye yes, but if you’re expecting a fanfare you’ll be waiting a while.

4. There won’t be a photographer waiting outside ready to snap your candid first moments; but your significant other will be on hand to capture every one of your bad angles.

5. There will be no graceful climbing into a waiting car – you’ll be rushing to get the doors closed before the ticket inspector comes around.

6. The sun won’t be splitting the trees; it’ll probably be raining and you’ll get drenched because your other half forgot your coat.

7. Everyone will be crying: your baby because that's what they do and you because your hormones will be all over the place.

SHARE if you can relate.
