Wow, this maternity bed is just brilliant! We’ve never considered the design before, but now that we’ve see it, we reckon it’s a no-brainer!
Of course new mamas want their babies as close to them as possible after childbirth. None of us enjoy when our babies are swiftly taken away from us after they’re born, or when they’re placed in separate cot – and it can be quite upsetting considering we’ve had them so close for so long.
So we think this system is a lovely way for mother and baby to adjust to this ‘separation’.
And of course, it's a perfect solution for c-section mums while they're recovering.
Cleverly, there’s no co-sleeping worry because the design of the ‘side-crib’ means mum can’t roll over and accidentally hurt baby.
After seeing this picture posted on parenting site BellyBelly’s Facebook page we’re hoping this design catches on in maternity hospitals everywhere!
