Princes William and Harry have paid a moving tribute to their late mother today.

The Princes visited The Sunken Garden at Kensington with the Duchess of Cambridge, a day before the twentieth anniversary of Princess Diana’s death.

Kensington Palace revealed that the garden had been transformed into a special White Garden, dedicated to the People’s Princess.

A series of tweets were shared by the Palace’s official Twitter account, sharing details of the Princes’ special visit.

The first tweet included a beautiful black-and-white picture, showing William capturing a photo of his mother and brother.

“Today, The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry will pay tribute to their mother Diana, Princess of Wales,” read the caption.

Along with a photo of the stunning White Garden, an iconic photo of Diana alone was shared to the page.

“Ahead of the twentieth anniversary of The Princess’ Death, The Duke and Prince Harry wanted to celebrate her life and incredibly memory,” read another tweet.

Diana passed away in a car crash in Paris, on August 31 of 1997. The young Princes have spent the past number of weeks sharing interviews, photos and special memories in honour of their beloved mother.

Speaking recently, for an ITV documentary, Prince Harry – who was just 12 when he lost his mother – said: “There’s not a day that William and I don’t wish that she was still around.”

The beautiful White Garden aside, the Princes have also commissioned two memorial statues in Diana’s name: one at her former home, and another at Kensington Palace.

William and Harry aren’t the only ones to pay tribute to Diana, either. Throngs of people are already leaving flower and card tributes outside the gates of the Palace.

This is an incredibly emotional time for the Princes and their family, and we are sure they are touched by the public’s outpouring of love this week.
