Watching the kids excitedly tear open a new window on the family’s advent calendar in the run-up to Christmas has got to be one of our favourite parts of the festive season.
But we’d be lying if we said we didn’t (albeit very occasionally) skip ahead and pop a window a day early in the midst of a stress-related chocolate craving – a move which ultimately results in tears and tantrums when our little ones find out.
