Plastic Vintage

Plastic Vintage was started in early 2010, after an experiment with some old letter tiles and vintage fabric and a desire to have something a little bit different hanging on my walls.

 

I have a love of fabrics and colours and am drawn to artwork that incorporates words, I also love vintage and re using old things and find great enjoyment in putting together elements which are a little bit different to create unique, affordable and bespoke pieces of artwork, which make amazing thoughtful gifts or personal pieces for your home.

 

The name Plastic Vintage is inspired very simply by the tiles I use...which are vintage and plastic!!

 

Everything is designed, created and assembled in my little home 'studio' in Hitchin,Hertfordshire around being a mummy of two.

 

I use only genuine vintage tiles (usually from 1950's games), not ever the thinner modern plastic tiles. All my fabric is carefully sourced, be it vintage or modern. I love bold colourful retro floral designs, but am always happy to source a particular background for you.

 

Bespoke comissions are my favourite, I am thrilled to work with you to create the pefect personal gift or piece for your home.
