This world-famous actress and Hollywood icon has done her utmost to buck celebrity trends and question society's definition of beauty since she burst onto our movie screens in the mid-nineties, and if her latest interview is anything to go by Kate Winslet has no intention of stopping now.
In a candid interview with Esquire magazine, the mum-of-three opens up about her body and happily celebrates the features she feels are worthy of praise.
The 40-year-old Berkshire-native is quick to explain why her hands are one of her favourite features, saying: "I know these hands have loved and lost, these hands have worked, they've touched a million people and places and they've gone through everything with me."
Acknowledging the ageing process with her trademark no-nonsense attitude, the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind star said: "They're getting on a bit, my hands, and I like the veins and the way the skin on the top looks a bit thinner."
Kate, who has tied the knot three times since 1998, insists her hands are the greatest barometer of the struggles and triumphs she has experienced over the course of her life, saying: "I can see my life more on my hands than I can on my face."
Acknowledging the public's perception of her attitude towards the female form, Kate, who is mum to 14-year-old Mia, 11-year-old Joe and 22-month-old Bear, joked that she deliberated over whether or not to choose a different body part.
"I was going to say my bum, because I think it's important to say my bum. Because really, I'm Kate Winslet, and I should be saying my bum," she laughed.
We couldn't love her any more if we tried!
