It’s best for Baby, but breastfeeding can really take its toll on a mother, especially when it’s her first time nursing.
This happened to be the case for US reality star Audrina Patridge, after she gave birth to her first child.
The former star of The Hills, who welcomed daughter Kirra with fiancé Corey Bohan 12 weeks ago, has admitted that breastfeeding was ‘excruciating’ at first.
In an interview with People, the 31-year-old said: “Breastfeeding was the most painful thing. For me, it was more painful that the C-section!”
“The first two to three were excruciating,” she added, admitting that things have since become a lot easier.
Audrina’s latest comments are in line with her very candid approach to motherhood thus far.
She recently shared a photo of herself breastfeeding little Kirra while out shopping for her wedding dress, and revealed that she ‘slept on the couch’ during the ‘crazy’ first week as a mum.
“Once I had Kirra, nothing else mattered. I didn’t even care. I didn’t care about the dishes piling up or anything. I just let it go,” she said.
We’re sure there are many of you out there who can relate to her struggles.
