You need to read this inspiring mums note about feeling burnt out

Being a mum is a true blessing, we all know that but there are some days when all we want to do is curl up on the floor and cry to our heart’s content.

We’ve all gone through those days, weeks and even months where things just get the better of us. One mum blogger has opened up about her own personal struggle and hearing about it has made us feel less alone.

Louise Pentland took to Instagram to admit that she is feeling burnt out. “I don’t like to talk about this because it makes me feel vulnerable. I feel that admitting this shows a weakness, a chink in my armour, that strangers who enjoy being negative online will take advantage of.”

Louise expressed her fear of being judged as a “shoddy mum who does nothing all day.”

The full-time blogger said she worries that people don’t take her seriously: “This job is a special one, a privileged one but a big one. A LOT happens behind the scenes.”

Louise revealed that after her daughter Pearl was born on January 14, she went back to work the day after.

“On Monday, January 15 I put on my makeup, picked up my camera and started again. Everyone told me to take time off and I ignored them. I wanted to be the woman that CAN. I wanted to show everyone I’m not lazy, I’m a hard trier.”

She continued: “This weekend I felt very overwhelmed. I need a break or a slower pace of life. I’m scared to say it in case you all think I do nothing and that by asking for a break I’m lazy. I have issues.”

Louise confessed that she has decided to take a break and we must applaud her for it. It’s something us mums need to do more often.
