We cannot CONTAIN our excitement about the sequel to our favourite jukebox musical, appropriately named Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

Universal Pictures just released the first trailer for what's sure to be a splendid romp of a film. And we could not believe our eyes when we saw who is playing Meryl Streep's mother!

Cher is joining the star-studded cast as grandmother to Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried.

In true Cher style, the Goddess of Pop arrives via helicopter in the trailer and SLAYS in a white pantsuit. We can only dream of being as fabulous as she is when we're 71.

The rest of the trailer reveals that the movie will centre on a pregnant Sophie coming to terms with raising a child on her own, much like her free-spirited mother.

Donna (Meryl Streep) shares her advice and her story through flashbacks, with the younger version of Donna played by Lily James (of Baby Driver fame).

And, of course, it's all accompanied by some of the best tunes by ABBA! We couldn't escape this movie if we wanted to.

The rest of the old cast reprise their roles (hello, Colin Firth!), and the three handsome possible-dads are all given equally hunky younger counterparts.

Pierce Brosnan's character is played Jeremy Irvine (War Horse), Colin Firth's mini-me is Fleabag's Hugh Skinner, and young Stellan Skarsgard is Josh Dylan (Allied).

The film comes out in July 2018, and we are already preparing to embrace our inner dancing queens.
