Usually, we lament a bad hair day, but thanks to Great Ormond Street Hospital’s latest campaign, frizz and fuzz have never been so good!

The hospital has just launched its ‘Bad Hair Day’ fundraising campaign, to raise vital funds for sick children.

As part of the event, taking place on February 10, people and families everywhere are being asked to do something crazy with their hair: we’re talking about dying it a funny colour, gelling it into a Mohawk, donning a wacky wig – the creative possibilities are endless!

Money raised from your grand gesture will go towards the hospital’s most urgent fundraising needs, including pioneering new treatments and cutting-edge equipment to help seriously ill children across the UK.

Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) has saved and transformed so many young lives; four-year-old Sophia Tchianou among them.

Sophia, from London, was diagnosed with a brain tumour back in 2015. She was rushed to GOSH, where she underwent emergency surgery to have the dangerous mass removed.

Thanks to the treatment she received at the hospital, little Sophia was able to return home just one week later. She is now doing well, and is excited to participate in Bad Hair Day 2017!

In order to participate, you will need to set up a donation page and sign up for a free Bad Hair Day fundraising kit; this will include your collection box, sweepstake poster, and more.

If you would like to make a difference to the lives of seriously ill children, and have a little fun while you’re at it, sign up!
