Television presenter  Stacey Solomon recently posted images and a video on Instagram of herself in a bikini celebrating her “muffin top, saggy boobs and stretch marks”.

Her reasoning for the post was because she wanted to celebrate her “labelled imperfections” and to encourage people to not fret about having a “ perfect beach body”.

“You're all perfectly imperfect and unique and beautiful. I thought I'd make a little holiday video celebrating my society labelled 'imperfections' because actually, I love them, they're part of me, and they have their uses!”  she wrote.

“I think if we can all show off our insecurities then we will all start realising NOBODY escapes the world of perfection that we are all under pressure to keep up with and everyone can sleep a little easier at night knowing everyone comes in different shapes sizes.”

In the video she lies down on the ground and jokes: “Not only are [my boobs] insulating but who could lie comfortably on a stone floor without the help of these babies?”

Over 227,800 views later, the X-Factor singer received high praise for embracing her body as it is and encouraging body-positivity in such a body-shaming world.

“Such an inspirational lady. Absolutely love this well done.” said one commenter on Instagram.

"You've made me feel a little bit better about my post-pregnancy body,” commented another follower.

“Thank you so much for this. Actually felt a little bit emotional. Recently becoming a mum, your body completely changes and I didn't realise you don't snap back to that perfect publicised body.” said another.

"It's lovely someone in the public eye standing up for the huge stigma in that everyone should look a certain way and if they don't there is something wrong with them." wrote another follower.

Stacey has promoted body confidence in the past by taking part in Loose Women's Body Stories campaign. The reality TV star stripped to her underwear for a photoshoot that wasn’t airbrushed or modified in any way.

'I don’t want my kids to worry about how they look as much as I do,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.

'What I hope this photoshoot shows women and men is that in most celebrity pictures there has been some form of airbrushing or retouching – so they shouldn’t compare themselves to unrealistic ideals.'

The Mum-of-two is currently enjoying a sunny holiday with her kids and boyfriend, Eastender alumn Joe Swash.
