It’s probably not a huge surprise to hear that, when Hollywood actress and mother-of-three Jennifer Garner was recently asked what the hardest thing about being a parent in the spotlight was, she answered with a single word: paparazzi.

The famous mum was chatting about fame and motherhood with Yahoo Parenting this week, when she opened up on the difficulties her fame has created for her children.

The star, who is mum to nine-year-old Violet, six-year-old Seraphina and three-year-old Samuel, said that paparazzi had previously wreaked havoc on her family’s personal life. Indeed, she admitted that fellow star Halle Berry’s help in passing a bill protecting celebrities’ children from harassment by photographers has made a huge difference to their lives.

“It was the paparazzi, and that, Halle Berry lifted from my shoulders and she is an angel. No Kids Policy. They were so aggressive…but it’s no longer an issue,” said the 43-year-old.

While the media’s intrusion into their lives may have been cut back thanks to the Senate Bill 606 however, Jennifer admits that she and husband Ben Affleck have had to work to ensure that their little ones remain grounded amid their amazing career success.

“The hardest part now is other kids talking to my children when we aren’t around. Like, ‘It’s so cool your dad’s being Batman’, and trying to control how much that inflates the idea that one person is more important than another,” she explained, adding, “My husband and I really work to manage that idea.”

It sounds like Jennifer and Ben are doing a stand-up job with their little ones.
