This famous mum-of-five has dealt with her fair share of criticism throughout her career, but if there's one thing Katie Price has faith in, it's her role as a mother and her approach to parenting.

The former glamour model attracted criticism in recent weeks when it was revealed her son Harvey, who suffers from septo-optic dysplasia, has a government-funded nurse and driver.

The government-funded care was slammed by columnist Katie Hopkins for costing the taxpayer, but Katie has always stood her ground when it comes to her and her children.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, the star, who gave birth to her first child in 2002, said: "I'm a great mum. I'm not a conventional mum but I'm a good mum."

While Katie acknowledges her less-than-average career and lifestyle have had an effect on family life, the 36-year-old television personality praises her children for their response to their mum's life.

Opening up about Harvey, Junior, Princess, Jett and Bunny, the star said:  "My kids are happy, polite and respectful. They know most things that happen to me but they deal with it."

Admitting that she sees her role as mother as the most important in her life, the ex-wife of singer Peter Andre, with whom she shares two children, admits that she sees more children in her future.

Commenting on family life, Katie said: "I'm always there, we talk about anything. I'd like to come down one day and have ten kids sitting around the kitchen table. That, to me, would really be success."

The star recently renewed her vows to Kieron Hayler, with whom she shares a son and daughter, and often gives fans and followers a sneak peek into family life with a variety of adorable snaps of shots.

We hope she keeps them coming because that is one seriously sweet brood!
