Losing a loved one is a heartbreaking experience in itself, without having to be dragged through the courts over the details of their will, but sadly this has been the case for the family of this late star.

The court battle between actor Robin Williams’ widow, Susan Schneider, and his three children is raging on this week as they battle out the terms of the star’s will in court.

Schneider has this week filed new court documents, claiming that she can no longer afford to live in the $6 million California property she shared with her late husband; but Zelda, Zak and Cody Williams are challenging her claim.

Williams left instructions saying that 51-year-old Schneider could remain in the house until her death and receive enough money from his estate to maintain the property throughout her lifetime. However, with the Williams children challenging the will, Schneider is claiming that she has not received any money since the star’s death.

Zelda, Zak and Cody have not been able to decide upon a set sum for Schneider, and they claim that she is unfairly seeking a “guaranteed income stream” from their inheritance.

The new court documents were obtained by entertainment site TMZ, and show that the Williams children asked the court to dismiss Schneider’s latest petition.

Williams passed away just over a year ago, and the parties have been battling it out in the courts over the past number of months. The main bone of contention surrounds photographs and heirlooms willed to the star’s children, which they claim Schneider is unlawfully holding on to.
