He has found himself back in the headlines this week, following the revelation that he is seeking joint custody of five-month-old son Freddie with Briana Jungwirth; and One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has felt compelled to issue a statement regarding his little one’s privacy this weekend.

The 24-year-old singer has called on paparazzi to allow his infant son to “have a normal, private and protected childhood”, asking for the “intolerable and completely unjustifiable” attention on the tot to now cease.

Louis and Briana are often ‘papped’ dropping off and collecting their little one, and it seems this invasion into their private lives has gone a step too far.

“Louis appreciates, respects and values his relationship with the media, and we hope he and his son are afforded the same respect on this matter,” the star’s rep added.

The statement follows reports that Louis is unhappy with the amount of time he is getting to spend with his young son, and is subsequently heading to court to seek joint custody of the tot.

Baby Freddie lives with his mother, stylist Briana, in Los Angeles; Louis moved to California earlier this year to be nearer to his son.

Let’s hope the paparazzi will respect Freddie’s parents’ wishes.
