Her path from pop star to successful fashion designer has won her major praise in recent times, but it seems that not everyone was so impressed by the scenes from Victoria Beckham’s latest fashion show.

While the fashion world has hailed the star’s New York Fashion Week showcase as a triumph, social media users have condemned her use of ‘skeletal’ models.

Critics made their feelings known in the comments section of an Instagram photo of model Peyton Knight, whom Victoria thanked for closing her show.

“I’m sorry, but she looks like a 10 yr old. She’s too thin [sic],” wrote one follower, while another simply wrote “yuck”.

Elsewhere, on Twitter, the mother-of-four was met with a similar tirade of criticism, with users begging her to start casting ‘real women’ in her shows.

“Ever thought about real size models and not promoting underweight role models for young women?” wrote one user, adding in the hashtag ‘responsibility in fame’.

Victoria’s show is always a much-anticipated highlight of New York Fashion Week, if not for the clothing then for her family’s front-row appearances. Proud husband David and eldest son Brooklyn attended her latest collection showcase, which took place on Sunday.
