Kate Middleton, who announced she was expecting her second child with Prince William last September, has taken time to record a message in honour of Children's Mental Health Week which began in the UK today.

The mum-of-one urges parents to establish an open and honest dialogue with their children regarding mental illness in a video which was recorded at Bethlem and Maudsley Hospital School in Beckenham.

Drawing a comparison between other afflictions which can affect children, the Duchess of Cambridge says: "No one would feel embarrassed about seeking help for a child if they broke their arm and we really should be equally ready to support a child coping with emotional difficulties."

Kate highlights the work carried out by charity place2be who offer support to children dealing with emotional issues and struggling with mental illness.

Prince George's mum reminds us that asking for help is not a sign of weakness and encourages the public to support place2b during this special week.

Why not take a moment to hear what the Duchess of Cambridge has to say about this very important issue.
