Since announcing her second pregnancy, she has shared a number of baby bump shots with her followers, all in an effort to change people’s perceptions about how a pregnant woman’s body should look.

Now, in her latest interview, actress Jaime King has spoken candidly about the body-shaming that she and other pregnant women have been facing in today’s image-obsessed society.

Commenting on the topic in an interview with American Baby magazine, the former Hart of Dixie star said: “People have made comments about how I’m too thin and need to eat a sandwich. I’ve seen it happen with other pregnant women in this business too – we’re either too thin or put on too much weight.”

The mother-of-one, who previously admitted that she cried over criticism of a pregnant Kim Kardashian, added: “Every woman’s body is different…all that matters is that you’re taking care of the nutrition for yourself and your child.”

Jaime, who is mum to 21-month-old son James with husband Kyle Newman, went on to share an inspiring message to all mums – and women – who have suffered body-shaming from others.

“Don’t let other people get you down, and don’t put other women down either,” she said.

Jaime announced back in February that baby number two is on the way for her and Kyle.
