Celebrations are underway to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday, but all talk is of her great-grandson, Prince George, today.

The cherubic little prince has captured hearts once again, after a new family portrait was released in honour of the Queen’s birthday festivities.

In tribute to Her Majesty’s milestone, a special sheet of commemorative First Class stamps is being released, featuring the Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and three-year-old little Prince George.

Sharing the beautiful photo with the public earlier today, the team behind the British Monarchy's official Twitter account wrote: “A family portrait to mark #QueenAt90. It’s the first time Prince George has appeared on Royal Mail Stamps.”

Social media users have been fawning over the adorable little prince, who is positively beaming in the photo as he stands on a stack of foam blocks. Dressed in a Rachel Riley outfit of shirt and long shorts, George also sports his signature knee socks.

It seems the world has fallen even more in love with the little prince after the publication of the photo, with one Twitter user commenting: “Love his cheeky little grin. Fabulous photo of her four generations.”

What a beautiful keepsake!
