While he admittedly relishes the role of uncle, it appears the arrival of his niece, Princess Charlotte, has led Prince Harry to do a little soul searching, and the young royal has seemingly been contemplating future plans.

Considering his hopes for the coming years, the much-loved royal family member revealed that he sees children in his future, but acknowledges it is not something you can rush into.

Speaking to Sky News correspondent, Rhiannon Mills, the 30-year-old prince, who is known for having the same wonderful way with children as his late mother, Diana, said: "Of course I would love to have kids right now, but there's a process that one has to go through."

The prince, who is currently on a tour of New Zealand, admits that while confident on his own, he does envision having a partner, saying: "Hopefully I'm doing all right by myself, but it would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure."

Prince Harry, who had left the UK before the arrival of his niece last weekend, is being kept up to date with family events in the UK, saying: "William sent me two photos, one before everybody else which was nice, and then another one with her back with George back home, so I'm so looking forward to seeing her, to meeting her and to holding her."

Joking that he may have to take issue with his niece's punctuality, Prince Harry laughed: "She was a little bit late, hence I missed her, so she'll have to work on that, but apart from that it's fantastic news for both of them so I'm thrilled."

While Harry clearly appreciates his older brother's changing family dynamic, the young royal asserts that he is not quite at the same stage, saying: "There come times when you think now is the time to settle down, or now is not, whatever way it is but I don't think you can force these things, it will happen when it's going to happen."

We can only imagine the excitement when Prince Harry decides the time has come!
