Six months after suffering a miscarriage, popular reality TV star, Cara Kilbey, is delighted to reveal she is expecting a baby.

In an emotional interview with Closer magazine, the TOWIE star admitted her recent tragic experience initially caused concern, but recent developments have helped alleviate worry.

Upon learning that she and her baby are progressing well, Cara, who fell pregnant two months after her miscarriage, has allowed herself to relax and embrace her new journey.

Opening up about her pregnancy, the 26-year-old star said: "I was so nervous up until the 20-week scan. I’ve been trying to relax and enjoy my pregnancy but there’s always been a niggle of worry."

Thankfully, the mum-to-be now feels she is in a position to embrace the wonderful news, explaining: "Now I’ve got past that point and everything is perfectly healthy, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can start getting excited."

Acknowledging the impact a miscarriage can have on a couple's relationship, Cara pays tribute to her partner Daniel and reveals they decided to try for another baby relatively soon after their loss earlier this year.

Explaining their thought process, Cara told the magazine: "Daniel and I knew we wanted to get pregnant again straight away so I was overjoyed when I found out I was expecting two months later… I can see how something that traumatic can break up a couple."

While Cara has opened up about the wonderful development in her recent interview, she has yet to make reference to the news on her social media channels.

We're wishing her all the very best!
