They announced last month that they are expecting their first child, but this famous singer has revealed there was a lot of heartbreak before they shared their happy news.

McBusted band member Harry Judd has said he feels “blessed” that his wife, Izzy Johnston, is expecting, after suffering a miscarriage last year.

Speaking to Hello! magazine, the 29-year-old explained that Izzy was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries in her twenties and the couple went through fertility treatment to get pregnant.

Admitting that IVF was not something they thought they would have to go through, the drummer said: “In an ideal world when you're ready to start a family you hope you will conceive in the first few months of trying."

"We were like, no, no we won't need IVF, it won't be us. IVF was like something you didn't talk about. We thought it would be fine.”

Not knowing whether they could ever have children or not, Harry said his 31-year-old wife felt like her heart was breaking every time someone asked if she wanted children.

"You feel like you are never going to be the ones who get to say, 'We are having a baby'. That is why we feel so blessed now,” he bravely said.

Describing the moment they realised the happy news, Izzy explained: “There was such magic in the air”.

The couple are due their baby in January and are clearly very excited about the next chapter in their lives.
