According to reports, Rosie's former partner is intending to file for full custody of their two-year-old daughter Dakota.
Commenting on the developments, Michelle's attorney exclusively revealed: "My client Michelle Rounds has decided to start proceedings for sole custody of their daughter Dakota, since it's unequivocally in their child's best interest and general welfare."
Slamming the comments issued on behalf of Michelle, a spokeswoman for the former View host said: "This is an absurd and desperate attempt to use a child for own gain."
Mum-of-five Rosie, who had been living apart from Michelle since November, initiated proceedings against her after three years of marriage.
The pair adopted Dakota soon after the tied the knot in June 2012, but it was soon revealed all was not well between the pair when Rosie filed for divorce just weeks after quitting The View in order to spend more time with her family.
