Johnathon Crow’s dad sadly passed away a couple of months before his 16th birthday, but it didn’t stop the proud father from celebrating with his son.

Dad still had one last surprise he wanted to share with Johnathon, and with the help of Port Huron Music Centre that dream still came true.

In an emotional video posted to Facebook by Johnathon’s sister Chandler, she captures the moments where she collected her little brother from school, bringing him to the music shop blindfolded.

But no one was prepared for the emotion that catapulted from the screen.

Reading a card from his dad in soft tones, the teen said:

“The happiest moments, the closest friends and family, the sweetest memories, may they all be a special part of your birthday and an even bigger part of your year. Love Dad.”

Johnathon is clearly overwhelmed by the message within the card, but waits patiently in a state of nervousness at what is yet to come...

Ever since Johnathon had begun taking lessons at the music centre, the heavy metal fan has had a fascination with a black Dean Razorback guitar.

And lo and behold in an extremely sentimental moment, the guitar is presented to Johnathon as his dad had bought it before he died for his son’s birthday.

The moments are so precious, capturing happiness and sadness in equal measure as Chandler shares: "Dad bought it for you before he passed away for your birthday."

Safe to say the tears are flowing, a beautiful family moment.
