Your body shape is not the only thing to change during your pregnancy, you will notice that your skin changes too.

Here are 5 ways your skin will change during pregnancy:

Pregnancy glow

The pregnancy glow is an actual thing and is due to increased blood to the face which make your cheeks blush and increased secretions give the skin a dewy shine.

Acne

You may notice that you have a few more pimples than normal. This is due to the extra hormones causing your glands to secrete extra oil.  Thankfully, this should decrease significantly after birth.

Dark spots will get darker

Any dark spots such as moles or freckles that are on your face and body may become darker and larger during the nine months,  but they should go back to normal after delivery.

Linea Nigra

You will notice that a dark line from your bellybutton to your pubic bone will appear during pregnancy. It starts to appear around the second trimester and there isn’t anything you can do to stop it happening. It should
fade after pregnancy.

Spider Veins

Spider veins that may appear on your cheeks are common during pregnancy. This is due to extra blood going around body which puts pressure on your blood vessels. To avoid this happening, make sure you avoid going out in extreme hot and cold weather conditions.
