If you haven’t yet heard the name ‘Paisley Morrison-Johnson’, then you need to familiarise yourself with this incredibly brave little ‘fighter’.

Paisley, 16 months, has made headlines all over the world with her beautiful smile, and for good reason – up until last month, her tongue was too big for her to raise one.

Paisley was born with an extremely rare genetic disorder called Beckwith Wiedermann syndrome, which is characterised by overgrowth. In her case, she arrived into the world with an adult-sized tongue.

The tot, from South Dakota in the US, was left with major health complications as a result – she encountered breathing difficulties and had to be fed with a tube in the early months of her life.

Desperate to make life easier for their daughter, parents Madison and Shannon set up a GoFundMe page (link here) to raise money for reductive surgeries.

Thankfully, the Morrison-Johnsons hit their target, and Paisley underwent surgery last month.

Life has totally changed for brave little Paisley, who is now smiling for the first time in her life!

We are so thrilled for this beautiful family.
