A nine-year-old boy’s Mother's Day letter has completely broken our hearts

 

A nine-year-old boy wrote a letter to his mum for the annual Mother's Day holiday and it has broken us in two.

 

The sweet note compliments and thanks his mum for being there for him, for buying him pizza and playing baseball with him.

 

And naturally, he tells his mum how pretty she is.

But it’s the final paragraph of his letter that has all our hearts melting when he thanks his mum for adopting him.

 

The nine-year-old thanks his mama, but instead she thanks him, saying: "Little does our son understand how much more adoption was a gift to us, rather than from us."

 

 

My 9 year old son wrote me a two page letter for Mother's Day. Thanking me for the pizza I buy them sometimes, for playing baseball with him in the backyard. He even told me how pretty I look with makeup on.  But to read him thanking me for adopting him melted my heart. Adoption is not a secret in our house, it's a celebration. Little does our son understand how much more adoption was a gift to us, rather than from us. I'll hold onto this letter for the rest of my life.  #itsafamilyaffair #pontetruchacalifas #pontetrucha

 Vowing to keep the two-page letter for the rest of her life, mum Ponte Trucha Califas is celebrating the gift of motherhood with her family. 

 

 

We can't cope.
