Premature babies come into the world facing many difficulties, and sadly some of them do not survive this difficult early stage of life.
However, some of these tiny resilient humans are tough as nails, and make it through.
One amazing photographer decided to capture the strength that preemies have, through a photo series called "then and now".
The pictures are taken of children who were born premature, holding framed imaged of their infant selves.
The project is so moving, and truly highlights just how strong babies can be, even when the odds are stacked against them.
The Canadian photographer shared a post on Facebook, where he said that despite the "difficult journey at the beginning of life, you can see what they have become."
Basically, babies are AMAZING.
