Tweens and teens with anorexia have a warped body image. Anorexia sufferers view themselves as heavy, even when they are dangerously skinny. They will obsess over being thin and refuse to maintain even a minimally normal weight. Most people who suffer from anorexia will deny that they have an eating disorder. In about one out of every ten cases, anorexia is fatal. The most common causes of death include cardiac arrest, electrolyte imbalance and suicide.
