family funerals

Have a bit of a dilemma which I wanted to ask other mums about. My father passed away at the weekend and his funeral is in 2 weeks time. My 4 year old daughter adored her grandad and understandably is having a hard time accepting that he is no longer here. We have told her that grandad is now with the stars with her nanny and she looks up at the stars each night to say goodbye. Has anyone else had to deal with this and what advice could you give me. Also I'm in 2 minds about her attending the funeral. Part of me thinks I don't want to put her through it but another part of me feels that knowing what she is like she will be angry that all of her family are going somewhere without her. Can anyone give me advice on this. Many thanks. Samantha x x
