With no flowers in the garden and everything looking a bit grey and drab my daughter and I decided to create our own little rays of sunshine. Found this great little craft in one of my many craft books.

Equipment
Sheets of coloured card or paper
Drinking straws
Clean jam jars
Pencil
Green tissue paper
Scissors
Selotape
Glue
Various circular items to draw round

Instructions
1. Use the pencil and draw around the various circular objects leave as circles or draw flower shapes within the circles ( I found that drawing inside the circle made it easier for my daughter to judge the size of the flowers).
2. Cut out the circles and flower shapes.
3. Layer the various circles and petal shapes and stick with glue.
4. Turn the flower over and attach a straw with selotape to the back. Then place the flower into a jam jar and stuff tissue paper around the edge so that the flower stands up
5. Finally cut out two leaves and attach them to the flower's stalk and there you have it a gorgeous potted paper flower.
