As parents we can’t help but worry about our children when they go to school. Will they make friends? Will the other children be kind to them?

So our hearts lifted when we heard the story of two children who make it their business every single day to help a child on their school bus who has special needs.

And the bus driver, Cindy Clausen, was so moved by their behaviour she wrote a letter to the children’s parents, which was shared on Love What Matters.

Annaliese and Jorge each day ask if they can sit with Jackson, who has trouble walking.

“Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Jorge and Annaliese her smiles,” wrote Cindy. “Jackson has difficulties walking and it takes a bit for him to get to his seat.

“Today Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said. ‘Come on Jackson, you can do it!’ and when we arrived at school Jorge took it upon himself to carry out his backpack.”

Cindy says she wrote the letter because she wanted the children’s parents to know how well they had raised them.

“This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach,” she wrote.

“I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I want you to know that it shows!”
