We've got to say - we're a bit in love with Busy Philipps. From her hilarious Instagram account to her unabashed love for her bestie, Michelle Williams, she manages to tug at our heartstrings and tickle our funny bones all at the same time.

That's why we were utterly ecstatic to hear that the Dawson's Creek alum is getting her own late night talk show!

Honestly, we can think of few better ways to spend our evenings than cracking up at Busy's antics.

The programme's working title is Busy Tonight, and it's set to air on E!.

The show will feature the bubbly actress' hilarious commentary and interviews with guests.

As well, the 38-year-old is set to be executive producer, along with Julie Darmody and Eric Gurian, The Cut reports.

Busy originally rose to fame through TV programmes like Dawson's Creek, Freaks and Geeks, and Cougartown, so it's great to see her returning to her roots (albeit on a very different type of show).

And if you're hoping to see her in cinemas, she's appearing in the new film I Feel Pretty, which also stars Amy Schumer.

Besides our obvious excitement to see Busy's quirky sense of humour on the small screen, Busy Tonight will also be an important step for aspiring female entertainers, as late night talk shows are still dominated by men.

From Jimmy Fallon to Jimmy Kimmel, the prestige of a late night slot is still reserved for the boys' club. And while there are a few welcome exceptions (including Sarah Silverman on HBO, TBS' Samantha Bee, Robin These on BET), we still have a long way go.

We are so ready for Busy to make her mark on the scene and keep us laughing ourselves silly!
