ProTecht, a company in Oklahoma, USA have designed a bulletproof blanket to protect school children in the event of a school shooting.

The blanket is made of the same bulletproof material that is used by the U.S. military.

The creator of the blanket, Steve Walker, created the blankets as of result what occurred in Sandy Hook.

The blanket is light and can be fastened around the child with straps. Even though the blanket costs up to $1,000, the company says it’s much cheaper than building a bomb or tornado shelter.

ProTecht is hoping that the blanket will become a part of many American schools' lockdown protocols.
