There has been a nationwide baby watch as Dee Devlin and Conor McGregor awaited the arrival of their son.

There has been no official confirmation yet, but according to the Irish Mirror, Conor and Dee are now proud parents.

Conor McGregor’s dad has confirmed the exciting news- he is now a grandfather to Conor and Dee Devlin’s baby boy.

Tony McGregor told the Irish Mirror: “There’s great news for the McGregor’s and the Devlins.

"Baby Conor Jack McGregor was delivered last night at 8pm in the Coombe Hospital.

"He came in at 8 pounds 14 ounces. The whole family are absolutely delighted.”

“We’ve experienced this recently with our eldest daughter and there’s no better feeling in the world than being a grandparent. The parents are absolutely over the moon and everyone is healthy."

Earlier today, speculation mounted that Dee had given birth to the little boy after a verified Instagram account in the name of Conor McGregor Junior was set up.

Conor’s coach John Kavanagh was among the first to offer his congratulations, tweeting “Just under the 9lb limit.”

Great news, congratulations Conor and Dee!
