How does one honour a child? How do you honour their memory with pride?

Australian dad, Troy Austin, has done just that, and it was an emotional victory.

Troy and his wife, Kelly, brought their little boy T.G into the world in 2016; he was just 27-weeks.

Until the time of his arrival, he had been an active little bub, kicking his mum at every opportunity, nonetheless, it wasn't to be.

With no known reason, their little angel was stillborn.

The privilege of bringing their son home had disappeared from their grasp.

"T.G will always be on our minds and in our hearts," commented his parents.

"Our little mans short life will not be in vain as we strive to fundraise to support other families who face the heartbreak of stillbirth. Six families a day face the horrific outcome of not being able to love and create a lifetime of memories with their child."

"The pain of not being able to do so stays with them forever."

Because of this, the family set up a fundraiser for Sands Queensland, in an effort to break the silence and stigma around stillbirth.

Troy caught the publics attention when he stepped out to take on the Sunshine Coast Marathon in Queensland, running the course pushing a stroller.

However, his stroller was empty, with many spectators wondering what he was doing.

The wonder was exactly what the dad wanted; he wanted people to ask questions, to open up a conversation on stillbirth, to help eradicate the stigma and silence attached.

Moreover, he wanted to celebrate his son's memory, to honour T.G's presence in their lives, and to make sure he is never forgotten.

The funds raised from the run are going directly back to Sands, in an effort to train and educate hospitals on how to deal with parents who are going through the same scenario.

What an amazing ode to their son, we're sure T.G would be extremely proud of his family.
